Default ROMAK-2 Romanian AK-74's

Seeing a few of these apearing. Some with the original "Dragunov" Stock. Others, 922 converts. What does this fine group think of this Varient? Will they work with the Tapco Poly Mags or only Euro's? Good shooters?

Dont know about that particular rifle, but I have found all plastic mags to be tight, workable but tight.

Typical Romanian. The upturned charging handle is nice since you can use the safety and charge it with the stock folded. i have a few.

I don't Romak-2 but I do have a MK-II pretty much the version that was

imported a little bit before yours I think.

Its been a decent AK the finish is not stellar

its by no means a pretty gun and it had a canted FSB when I got it, but it does

shoot much better than the newer Romanians its actually a pretty accurate

AK.

I saw one of these for sale on the AK Files forum last summer . The guy wanted 500 . It came with 7 mags as well as a thumb hole stock. Looked nice with that stock. It got sold quick. Do you guys think I missed the boat? Good deal?

That is what I paid for the one above with the 1 East German Bakelite Mag Shown. But she is Mint inside and out. Fit and finish is exceptional and has been "worked" by a professional smith to get it there. Now If i can only get to the range to shoot her.....;-)

MKIIs are the early RomAk-2s. Exact same weapon, just different names to help with importation/sales.
