My AK-105 made by Will at Red Jacket with Kobra optic from Tantal. Pretty sweet rifle.

This is my AK-74S from Ohio Rapid Fire. She shoots very crisp and accurate. Overall 5.45 is a great, flat-shooting round.

Ok just to breath some life here to the thread. Here is me shooting my Bulgy AK-74S up on private land over the summer. My buddy calls this the "hill top retreat", 500 acres of family owned land- you can shoot, drive ATVs, have bon fires, bark at the moon... whatever you want. Good hunting land too.

If you look close you can see the 5.45 spent casing going through the air. Also- you can see I finished the hand guards in a Russian brown-red at this point (different from my earlier pic). I also swapped out the hand guard for a dark red bakelite one, and put on a rubber pad to extend the stock length. My 74 is from Ohio rapid fire (got it in 2007).

An AK-74 has recoil like a BB gun, I love it.

If I hear about a power outage down there, I will know who to blame.

Yeah always have done the front mag grip when I shoot my AKs (unless you go for the one hand grip).

I'm not sure if I gave background. I got my 105 from Will from Red Jacket firearms in 2008. Basically I called him up and asked him to build it- it was like $850 which isn't that bad, now they go for $1000 or more.

He took a Bulgy 74 kit and made it off that. He had to extend the muzzle brake slightly so it wasn't an SBR (a real 105 is an SBR) but he did it in a way that it looks ok. The finish is beautiful gun koat. I had the rail put on so I coudl get a Kobra optic (I got one from Tantal).

I really like it- smooth like a sewing machine when you fire it.

The kobra optic.

With a 45 round mag.

Next to my buddy's Polish UF. Its interesting the Soviet under and side folders stand up perfectly.
