Default 1911 Advice & Recommendations Sought

Yeah, yeah; they ain't Soviet Bloc but I already have one and am now feeling the urge for another 1911 in .45 ACP. Thinking I want a mid-priced,(regretfully NightHawks, Coonans, Wilson Combats, Les Baers, and the like aren't gonna happen just now) Commander-sized, stainless make. Right now am leaning towards Colt, Kimber, or STI. Any advice, suggestions, or recommendations related to any of these three or to an entirely different make but staying with the caliber, size, and finish?

Colts will always hold their value and with their having recently been in bankruptcy retail prices have been down. I saw a new blued .45acp Commander last weekend at a gun show for $775. Hard to beat that for a new Colt. The Government models were around the same price.

This is a good deal on the Remington 1911, which have a solid reputation...

Went with a Colt SS Commander Plus. Once I swap out for Wilson Combat trigger, springs, and mags it will be exactly as I'd like.

Has a very natural grip & feel and honestly most likely is accurate beyond my ability as a handgun shooter. Appears true right out of the box and had no issues using the included Colt OEM mags though I do still intend to change the trigger to a Wilson Combat adjusted to 3.5 pounds and swap to Wilson Combat springs & ETM mags.

I use 1911's quite a bit and Wilson magazines have never let me down.
