Default Would you buy one?

If these sell for a reasonable price (under the price of a M1A), I'd try to get a hold of one of these as soon as practically possible.

Consensus on the Vepr forum is that these SVT-40s are built from NOS parts. That makes sense to me since the machinery and workers who built SVT-40s probably are long gone.

Nope, have one real 2 real ones and don't shoot them. Tear up brass and are a pain to clean. other then the slight historical value, they shoot like shit.

Yeah I've heard the SVTs don't shoot great. The hickok45 Youtube guy seemed to have a small problem with accuracy. The rifle does shoot a lot faster than I thought it could though.

I'd love to see one of these new put-together ones against one of the Finn captures that have been over here for years. Kind of like an old, shot out Remington M91 versus a refurb Soviet M91/30.

If i could get one for a decent price, yes I"d love to have one.

Partially for historical reasons, but also that i've always liked the gun. I know its weakness' but yea, I would

Id buy one if I could find one for an original one for a decent price, not really to shoot it but because Id like to eventually own all the semi autos of ww2, that and its a pretty cool looking gun. The accuracy potential of the SVT is probably on par with most of the other semi autos of it's day.. not great.

I love my Svt just as much as i like my dragunov. Sure its not a tack driver and it does tear up brass, but its still a very cool rifle. What does NOS parts mean?
