Default Anyone looking for some Eastern European goodness?

Let me start by saying that Desert Fox is a really awesome company. I called the order in...and there customer service was top notch. My package arrived in 3 days from CA to VA. The description was accurate and upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised at the value.

Anyone looking for an East German set like this one should look there. I spent $65 total...shipped to my door. April of '74 stamps on the HG! Excellent used condition on the handguards and grip. The stock was new and had to be drilled. It also came complete with sling swivel and butt plate, which I have found some do not. I know it is sporting the US Palm grip...but I cannot get away from it haha

What do you guys think?

Looks sweet! I have never been a fan anything that was not black poly furniture but the EG furniture does look good.

Looks great! that is a good price. I used to have a bunch of those sets. i think i have 1 left. The neat, and hard, part is....if you can find a Romanian red bakelite ($$$) gas tube cover, they match some of the German lowers. I think there are 3 shades to E German recipe. Slight brown/purple , maroon/black, and a slight orange/red. The orange/red is a dead ringer for the Romanian red.

old pics...

Now put a folder on it and get a set or the Draco to make a faux MPi-AKS!

you pulled that picture out of the way back machine! haha

It looks good with a side folder though...kinda wish I hadn't sold mine last year. DOH!

Many many moons ago.....back in the early 2000s...I could have had as many sets of these as I wanted. My old man was in good with IO's owner. He had plastic crates the size of a vw beetle...full of these things in his back room. He could not give them away back then.

Now that's cool. Would love to take it to the firing range.
