AKMS used in Green Zone (movie)
Noticed Matt Damon wielding an AKMS in the trailer for "Green Zone." Nice to see this, its common for the good guys to run around with a M4 or MP5 and just the bad guys have the Soviet arms.
Could be a Polish or Russian AKMS... but obviously a prop if front sight is hooded.

Its a Norinco type 56-1. I was thinking about purchaseing a Class three Type-56-1 recently.

I've only read..can't be 100% as I have no first hand experience....a lot of CIA/Spec Ops/Covert forces, including contractors are using Kalashnikov in both wars.

Check out body of lies, great movie. Yes its got that guy from titanic in it, but it is a good movie... I wouldn't steer you guys wrong.
In one part of the movie he is using somekind of SBR, whether it's a krink or not I can't remember. If I can find some of the screen shots of the movie i'll try to post them, but whenever he uses the SBR it's a great action scene. As someone touched on before, it's nice to see the good guys having AK's in their hands once in awhile.
